Following manufacturing issues, supply of Bactroban (mupirocin) 2% Ointment for the topical treatment of mild impetigo (often referred to as ‘school sores’) is constrained and is unlikely to be available in Australia prior to October 2016.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience this is causing patients, pharmacists and doctors whilst we work to rectify this situation.

Pharmacists and General Practitioners are advised to visit the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) website for recommendations on alternatives available in Australia whilst Bactroban is out of stock.
