Discontinuation of Typherix adult vaccine

GSK has announced that Typherix [Salmonella typhi Vi polysaccharide vaccine] adult vaccine will be discontinued from supply and no longer commercialised. This vaccine has been unavailable in Australia for the past 12 months and has experienced constrained supply for several years due to challenges associated with manufacturing. GSK has made this decision, taking into account the fact that there are alternate typhoid vaccine products supplied in Australia.
