Ethical and transparent ways of working is a priority for us at GSK.
We believe that by being transparent about our relationship with healthcare professionals, we will help address community concerns and increase understanding around how the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare providers work together to advance patient care.
In 2010 we became the first pharmaceutical company in Australia to disclose how much we pay healthcare professionals for services such as consulting, speaking at meetings and attendance at academic congresses.
This disclosure is an annual aggregate figure and does not include payments made to publicly and privately funded groups for conducting research and development or clinical trial projects.
In 2016 we furthered our commitment to ethical and transparent ways of working by ceasing payments to healthcare professionals for these services.
