Play-based learning for Australian kids

Every child has the right to a healthy, educated and safe future. Sadly, this is not the reality for all children. Some children drop out of school or have poor attendance because they don’t have the basic learning foundation to continue their education journey.

Save the Children's mobile plus bus, supported by GSK Australia, is fully-stocked with early learning toys and resources and provides quality activities for children aged 0-6, increases parents’ self-esteem and confidence to support their children’s development, and connects families to each other and to their local communities.

Trained Early Childhood and Family Support Workers provide children with fun and educational activities, and parents with advice, skills, links and referrals to other community services
Play-based learning has long been recognised as an effective approach to support early childhood care and development. Through safe and supported play, children are given opportunities to learn, grow and prepare for school.
