Transparency disclosures

Ethical and transparent ways of working is a priority for us at GSK.

We believe that by being transparent about our relationship with healthcare professionals, we will help address community concerns and increase understanding around how the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare providers work together to advance patient care.

In 2010 we became the first pharmaceutical company in Australia to disclose how much we pay healthcare professionals for services such as consulting, speaking at meetings and attendance at academic congresses.

This disclosure is an annual aggregate figure and does not include payments made to publicly and privately funded groups for conducting research and development or clinical trial projects.

We recently furthered our commitment to ethical and transparent ways of working by announcing our intention to cease these payments by the beginning of 2016. Until this time we will continue to disclose the sum we pay healthcare professionals for these services on this site.
